11. Mabel Louise Baklund was born on 3 March 1896 in Yakima, WA. In 1917–20 she was a telephone operator in Minneapolis, MN. In 1919 she was a hired girl for Gus Zink in Carrington, ND. Mabel appeared in the census in 1920 at renting an apartment with her sister Agnes in Hennepin, MN, USA. She died on 26 June 1965 at the age of 69 in Carrington, ND.

Mabel Louise Baklund and Joseph Martin Carr were married on 5 October 1920. Joseph Martin Carr, son of James William Carr and Ellen Elizabeth McGruder, was born on 2 April 1893 in New Hampton, IA. He appeared in the census in 1920 in Minneapolis, MN. He lived in Nordmore, Foster, North Dakota in 1930. Joseph died complications after falling from a ladder on 5 October 1986 at the age of 93 in Grand Forks, ND. He was buried on 8 October 1986 at Carrington Cemetery in Carrington, ND. He was a farmer and farm implement dealer in Carrington, ND. Joseph was educated at Oliver Business School in New Hampton, IA.
