8. Carl August Larson Backlund was born on 9 September 1868 in Dovre, Kandiyohi, Minnesota. He appeared in the census in 1920 in Willmar, Kandiyohi, Minnesota. In 1920 he was a proprietor of a garage in Willmar, Kandiyohi, Minnesota. After 1932 Carl was a Fur animal business on family farm. He died on 19 April 1938 at the age of 69 in Dovre, Kandiyohi, Minnesota. He was buried on 22 April 1938 in Eagle Lake Church, Willmar, MN. Carl was a Photographer.

Carl August Larson Backlund and Emaline Emberston were married on 29 June 1893. They appeared in the census in 1910 in Dovre, Kandiyohi, Minnesota. They appeared in the census in 1930 at Marcy (21) and Carl's brother Gilbert are in residence with them in Willmar, Kandiyohi, Minnesota. Emaline Emberston, daughter of Arne Embertson and Anna Erickson, was born on 8 February 1874 in Green Lake, Kandiyohi, Minnesota. She died on 3 May 1944 at the age of 70 in Hennepin, MN, USA.

25	i.	Leslie Alvin Baklund was born on 3 August 1894 in Minnesota. He died on 8 March 1957 at the age of 62 in Willmar, Kandiyohi, Minnesota.

27	iii.	Florence Mae Baklund was born on 9 May 1898 in Willmar, Kandiyohi, Minnesota. She died on 26 May 1960 at the age of 62 in Brainerd, Crow Wing, Minnesota.
28	iv.	Reuben Alphens Baklund was born on 21 January 1902 in Minnesota. He lived in Dovre, Kandiyohi, Minnesota in 1910. He died Dc 24 1970 in Castleton, North Dakota.
29	v.	Millard Elliot Baklund was born on 15 April 1907 in Dovre, Kandiyohi, Minnesota. She died on 28 June 1927 at the age of 20 in Des Moines, Iowa.
30	vi.	Marcy Fillmore Baklund was born in 1909 in Minnesota. He died in 1971 at the age of 62 in New London, Kandiyohi, MN.
31	vii.	Elsie Arliene Baklund was born on 9 October 1910 in Willmar, Kandiyohi, Minnesota. She died on 7 February 1981 at the age of 70.
