Josephine H. Lange and Ewald Rode were married on 19 September 1914 in Stillwater, OK. They appeared in the census in 1920 in Nevada, Palo Alto, Iowa. They appeared in the census in 1930 in Lotts Creek, Kossuth, Iowa. Ewald Rode, son of Daniel Rode and Justine Schultz, was born on 24 November 1886 in Russia. He immigrated in 1906. He appeared in the census in 1910 at as a hired hand in Mound, McPherson, Kansas. Ewald was buried in December 1945 at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Whittemore, Kossuth County, Iowa. He died on 17 December 1945 at the age of 59 in Whittemore, Kossuth County, Iowa.

28	iv.	Theodore D. Rode was born about 1920 in Iowa. He died Ate rat poison (encourage to do so by hired hand on farm) about 1923 at the age of 3.
29	v.	Arthur Edward Rode was born on 5 September 1921 in Iowa. He died on 30 October 1980 at the age of 59.

31	vii.	Martha Elizabeth Rode was born on 2 April 1924 in Iowa. She died from suicide on 27 February 1973 at the age of 48.
32	viii.	John Ewald Rode was born on 23 February 1928 in Iowa. He died from cancer on 12 May 1958 at the age of 30.
33	ix.	Harold Rode was born about 1933. He died about 1933 at the age of 0 in Iowa.
